ABOUT
Location
All services are available in person or via Zoom video.
The office is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, in the Richmond Tower, part of the Sheraton Hotel. Outside the office window is the serenity of a private garden where clients can take time before or after sessions to sit, reflect, be still, and connect with nature. It is peaceful and calming. The Sheraton is also connected to the PATH underground system and can be accessed from the Queen subway station, making it possible to avoid the cold in winter.

Zoom sessions have benefits as well. They can be done from the privacy of your own home, where you may feel more safe, secure and comforted. No commute time means sessions can be squeezed into a busy schedule. The online format makes psychoeducation easier for the facilitator to share documents and videos, and the Zoom whiteboard allows them to illustrate ideas with diagrams.

Having a background as a Personal Training Specialist (PTS) and Nutrition Specialist, my counselling style focuses on the mind-body connection. I use my education and experience to help my clients overcome their personal and professional challenges and become healthy and successful in all aspects of their lives.

Managing stress is a crucial component of my practice. When stressed, our sympathetic nervous system (SNS), the "fight, flight, freeze" response, is activated, and stress hormones like adrenaline, noradrenaline, and cortisol are released, causing increased heart rate and breathing. The brain shifts activity to survival-related responses such as anxiety, depression, anger, dissociation, substance abuse, etc. I assist my clients in alleviating these conditions by helping them calm their nervous system with talk therapy, cognitive behavioural techniques, mindfulness meditation, exercise, and nutrition guidance.
