Jennifer Breckman

Registered Psychotherapist

Growing up adopted has shaped so much of who you are, even if it's hard to explain why. You may struggle with questions about your identity, wonder where you truly belong, or carry feelings of rejection, abandonment, or not being "enough." Relationships may feel complicated. You may fear being left, have difficulty trusting others, or find yourself constantly trying to earn love and acceptance. Even though you know your adoptive family loves you, or you have reconnected with your biological family, there may still be grief, loss, or unanswered questions that continue to affect your life.

I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can explore how your adoption experience has shaped your sense of self, your relationships, and your emotional well-being. Using an attachment-informed approach, along with other evidence-based therapeutic techniques, we'll work together to better understand your experiences, process difficult emotions, strengthen your self-worth, and build healthier, more secure relationships.

My goal is to help you feel more confident in who you are, develop a stronger sense of belonging, and experience safer, more fulfilling relationships. Together, we'll work toward helping you move forward with greater self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of peace within yourself or with the important people within your adoption triad.
