Rebecca Webster

Counsellor

I work with clients who feel stuck and discouraged in their romantic lives. Some are single and find themselves repeating unhealthy dating patterns without understanding why, while others are in relationships that feel filled with conflict, disconnection, or uncertainty. In both cases, they often feel overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward on their own.

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand their unique relationship patterns, emotional needs, and relational dynamics. Therapy is tailored to each individual so we can explore their experiences in a way that feels relevant, supportive, and actionable.

Clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the patterns shaping their relationships. They begin to recognize who they are drawn to and why, learn how to balance their own needs with those of their partner, and develop the ability to create relationships that feel secure, mutual, and emotionally fulfilling.

Experience

Rebecca is a counsellor with a diploma in Psychotherapy from The Living Institute and holds a BFA (Honours) from York University. She has additional certifications in Attachment-Focused Adult Psychotherapy, Anger Management, and Domestic Violence.

Rebecca’s work is deeply informed by both her professional training and her lived experience. Having experienced childhood trauma that led to an insecure attachment style, she spent years struggling with friendships and romantic relationships. Through her own therapeutic journey, she developed a secure attachment style and built a strong, lasting partnership with her husband.

Their relationship, while deeply committed, went through significant challenges that required individual growth on both sides. Rebecca’s personal healing created meaningful change, and over time, her partner also pursued therapy and his own transformation. Together, they cultivated a relationship that is now secure, connected, and deeply fulfilling.

Rebecca believes that this combination of clinical training and lived experience allows her to guide clients with both insight and authenticity as they work toward creating healthier relationships with themselves and others.
